About This File

Winnipeg James Richardson International

CYWG - Winnipeg

Special thanks to:

Gregory Putz - Buildings were converted from FS9 with permission for the original FS9 author. Gregory has invested hundreds of hours with the original FS9 scenery. The scenery was very well done with very high quality elements. Greg kindly shared permission to use and convert this stunning scenery to XPlane 11. If you still run FS9, or know a buddy that does, please encourage them to check out Greg's sceneries. Due to the high quality base, the conversion turned out amazing. Custom HD ground textures are coupled with Greg's stunning 3D models giving you a very immersive scenery.

Canada4XPlane - This scenery was created using custom ground textures kindly provided by Canada4XPlane. They are known for their high quality Canadian XPlane sceneries. Their content is a 'must' when flying to select Canadian cities

Awfsiu - For contributing custom animated SAM jetways

Mooze - For initially starting the project and contributing a base conversion.

David Rawlins - Static CL-215's

AlphaSim - Static CF-100 at the museum

Looks amazing! Especially the Winter season with all the snow and ice. Now with working jetways!

Points to note:

1. If you encounter problems with invisible jetways, try setting your objects slider (in graphics settings of X-Plane 11) to high (medium did not work for me)

2. It uses the SAM plugin so you need to download the SAM suite.

3. A letter (either) A or M should should appear in the top left part of the screen. 'A' stands for Automatic so the jetway should connect in automatic mode. 'M' stands for manual mode, therefore it has to be connected using the manual mode in the SAM airport operations section. Also if either letter is grey, then that means there is a compatible gate but it is not in range of the aircraft to connect. If the letter has a blue colour surrounding it then your plane is in range.

P.S. For the ToLiss A319 I got a successful dock on scenery load up at Gate 11. (Gate 12 is out of range. Atleast for the 'baby bus').

Hopefully this helps as a future reference. Happy flying 🙂

Nice scenery but invisible jet jetways, log.txt says [object] 'uses blend glass but is not set to glass lighting'. Hm, had to set it to high actually but it worked, thx. Perhaps in the future there could be a version for people who might not be able to to run at high.

Response from the author:

Blend_Glass has 0 relevance to the issue in question.

The jetways are not loading correctly because your objects setting is not high enough. If you run your sim on "Low", you need to expect issues with your sceneries. Please run the scenery at "Medium" or above to fix this issue and for the scenery to run without issues.

I would appreciate if you made a support request first before writing a review.
