Kaslo British Columbia, Canada Here is a small weekend scenery project I forgot I had sitting on my hard drive from a while back. Kaslo is a small general aviation field located just west and above the town of Kaslo British Columbia. The airport is located on top of a hill with its only runway perpendicular to Kootenay lake. This gives Kaslo a very unique and challenging approach on both runways. The airport is usually very quiet with little traffic despite its stunning location and beautiful views. This rendition includes accurate models based off of the latest reference, as well as high resolution ground textures. This scenery also features SAM season support as well as dynamic ground textures that change depending on the weather. Seasonal Features: SAM Season support What Does This Package Include? C-FQEI (Air Nootka) C-FQEI operated with Air Nootka on Vancouver island for many years out of the Gold River Air Nootka seaplane base on the western coast of Vancouver Island. She was operated by Bradley air Services, Island air, and CoVal Air before her time at Air Nootka. C-FQEI went under turbo conversion in the mid 2000's and operated under many overseas registrations before her current registration of DQ-SEA for Pacific Island Air. *Note, the stripes are a little higher than on the prototype aircraft due to the modelling of the aft fuselage. C-GGAW (Air BC) C-GGAW wore many liveries in its day as Twin Otter. Starting out as MSN 86, N591MA for Island Flying services in the late 1960's, then Out Island Airways in the same location. The plane was passed around a few more times in the south before it went to Air West Airlines in Vancouver in 1976. Air West Airlines operated the twin otter under many names such as Airwest, Air BC and Canadian Pacific Commuter. The repaint depicts MSN 86 in her time in the 1990's flying coastal routes out of the central Vancouver area with the iconic 1990's Air Canada livery. After her time at Air BC she was sold to Westcoast Air in 1996. She flew with Westcoast Air until 2000 where her life ended with an engine failure and sank in Coal Harbor. Nobody was killed. C-FSUB (Harbour Air) C-FSUB wore many liveries in its day as a piston otter. First starting out as production number 2 for the RCAF, the aircraft was then sold through many Pacific Northwestern airlines until it was bought by Harbour air around the 1990's. There were a few versions of the Harbour Air classic scheme. The one I have tried to replicate is the first iteration after Harbour air purchased the aircraft. I have seen many images of the airplane on straight floats and wheels under the Harbour Air livery. The aircraft then flew for Air Mont-Laurier until it was brought back to the west coast to be fitted with the turbo conversion. *Note, this livery is not perfect and will be update with new PBR and potentially floats in the future. Bella Bella British Columbia, Canada Here is a small weekend scenery project north of Vancouver. Bella Bella is a small coastal town on the Pacific Northwest coast about an hours flight north of Vancouver. Bella Bella is served primarily by Pacific Coastal. Pacific coastal will operate SAAB and 1900’s between Vancouver, Bella Coola, and Bella Bella on the “PASCO milk run” Pacific Coastal has also been known to operate the legendary Grumman Goose and amphibious Beaver fleet from this airport. Included in this package is CBBC (Bella Bella Airport), Bella Bella marina + seaplane dock, Denny island airstrip, and Point Dryad lighthouse/helipad + surrounding buildings. Whistler/Green Lake Whistler Seaplane base, Green Lake. Here is a small weekend scenery project just north of Vancouver. Whistler/Green Lake water Aerodrome is a small seaplane base that receives lots of float traffic from Vancouver city center in International. Harbour Air operates all types of aircraft from this base, shuttling passengers from the ski hill, back into the big city. This scenery features photoreal water and surrounding ZL19 orthophotos. This scenery is perfect for any seaplane operation as its only 15-20 minutes outside of Vancouver. This scenery does not require any other libraries/prerequisites. Simply load it up and go!
