    There is now a huge promotion for the A300-600 -> £ 9.99 (!!!)
But since I only fly in VR, I am very afraid to click "Buy It Now".
Is the plane in v2 currently usable in VR ???
Because I understand that this mod with v1 does not work anymore, and there is no new one and I probably won't.

I am asking you for help, because the promotion will soon disappear

You are correct. ini opted to discontinue the unofficial VR support beyond V1.

Fair enough - it isn't for everyone!

Mind if I ask you a question? I made my own config file for it, but there are a few manipulators in the cockpit when in the VR environment, the switch moves in the opposite direction than it should.

Do you know if there is a way to make the following config addition invert the switch operation? Many thankss...

    BEGIN_MANIP command_axis CL650/overhead/ice/test_down CL650/overhead/ice/test_up
    ACTION command_switch_up_down CL650/overhead/ice/test_down  CL650/overhead/ice/test_up
    HOLD_MANIP
    END_MANIP

    You can try this:

    BEGIN_MANIP command_axis CL650/overhead/ice/test_down CL650/overhead/ice/test_up
    ACTION command_switch_up_down CL650/overhead/ice/test_up CL650/overhead/ice/test_down
    HOLD_MANIP
    END_MANIP

But there's a good change it will crash the sim. If this doesn't work, then you cannot do so without modifying the cockpit.OBJ.

The VR Config should be available here on the VR Labs Page. As most components come from ST and 10, I assume a V2 VR config should be quite straightforward. As SimVRLabs does not get updates beforehand, we have to wait until they got time to adapt. Let’s be gratuitous that they make the plane so much better through their config.

You would unfortunately be assuming incorrectly. It is unlikely that a VR mod will be released for this aircraft. Ini have built the aircraft in such a way that offers very limited freedom in converting manipulators to work in VR.

This update tweaks nearly everything to work better in VR.  I worked very hard to make things just act and "feel" as right as they can.

Everything has been tuned for VR. Notable features include:

    • Thrust levers now move intuitively
    • Flap lever now moves intuitively
    • Speedbrake lever now moves intuitively
    • Yokes are now operable
    • ALL Overhead buttons, switches, and knobs
    • ALL Main Panel buttons, switches, and knobs
    • ALL FCU and EFIS buttons, switches, and knobs
    • ALL radio tuners
    • Teleport hotspots

    Known issues:

    • The EFB does not work with touch controllers. Users must use the VR mouse OR setup the EFB prior to VR. INI is aware of this bug. This is something out of SimVRLabs control.
    • This mod intentionally does not include teleport hotspots in the cabin or cargo areas. These areas are open to be explored without restriction using the VR controller's teleport function. This allows a "pain free" way to explore the aircraft without accidentally teleporting to an area which you did not intend.
    • The weather radar does not work. INI is aware of this bug. This is something out of SimVRLabs control.

    Installation:

    • Extract the contents of the included .ZIP into your aircraft's root folder and overwrite.

@shenherm absolutely have to agree to this! The fact that the A300 was grounded until your updated VR profile and mod came out says already everything in that regard. 🙂

Just one minor thing I noticed (edit: that was in the Freigher version, did not test PAX yet): by any chance, did you change the pilot sitting position and moved it more forward? With the last profile I remember it was spot on with the back of the chair and not so forward. But that can also be me remembering it falsly. Will play a little bit around with that.

BTW: the MoveVR plugin worked flawlessly with the EFB. So this is really a good workaround for those willing to use the EFB also in VR.

I have not changed the viewpoints at all. They are the exact same for all 4 versions of the A300 🙂

  9. Hi folks,

It is disappointing that I need to make this post.

It's been brought to my attention that some VR users have been sending threats to content creators in the XPlane community related to VR usage.

The team at SimVRLabs create our content free of charge for the betterment of flight sim users experience. We do it for ourselves and so that you can enjoy your favorite aircraft through the limitless confines of VR.

We do not owe anyone anything. We do not need to do the things that we do for you. We also do not need to release our works for free. We do these things because we want to support our niche community and help it grow. This is nothing but genuine and kind.

Those who find the need to think that we must make content for them will be banned from accessing anything related to SimVRLabs and personally banned from accessing my personal works.

Making threats of any kind and any severity is a serious criminal offense. There are members within this community who are active in law enforcement and the judicial systems around the world. Please keep this in mind whenever you feel the need to threaten someone. You may not know just who you are threatening.

Threats are childish and disgusting which gives them 0 place in this community. This member has been permanently removed from our community.

If I hear that someone has made threats of any kind to anyone within this community, I will find them beyond a presumable fake account and ban their disgraceful persona from our community.

    Thank you for your understanding.

@shenherm are you guys in contatct with ini about the new (very soon to be released) v1.10 update and PAX version? Question is if your really awesome VR profile will still be compatible (at least most of the things) for this update when released?

Regarding the EFB: I found that using the MoveVR plugin and making the SASL_Window receive "clicks" solution as mentioned above works great for using it in VR -
    link here

Yes. We haven't been given 1.1 ahead of release, so we will need to update the files after 1.1 releases. The files *should* work mostly okay with the 1.1 freighter but you will get some errors. I will do my best to have the update out within 24 hours of 1.1 releasing.

Thanks for your solution! I'll see if it's an elegant solution which should be placed in the notes.

  11. Out of the VR Lab: CremonaSoft A310

This update tweaks nearly everything to work better in VR.  I worked very hard to make things just act and "feel" as right as they can.

Everything has been tuned for VR. Notable features include:

    • Thrust levers
    • Flap lever
    • Speedbrake lever
    • Reverse levers
    • Fuel control handles
    • Trims
    • Yokes
    • Parking Brake
    • ALL Overhead buttons and switches
    • ALL Main Panel buttons, switches, and knobs
    • ALL autopilot and EFIS buttons, switches, and knobs
    • Teleport hotspots throughout the cockpit

This modification is proudly made in partnership with CremonaSoft for version 1.6.2 of their A310.

CREMONASOFT WILL NOT OFFER SUPPORT FOR THIS VR MODIFICATION. CONTACT SIMVRLABS FOR SUPPORT.

    Installation Instructions:

    1. Download the SimVRlabs zip files.

    2. Add the "A310-304-CS_vrconfig.txt", "A310-304-CS_MRTT_vrconfig.txt", and "A310-304-CS_F_vrconfig.txt" files to your root A310 aircraft folder.

     3. Enjoy!

I recommend making a backup copy of your CremonaSoft A310 folder. Just rename them to something like ****** Variant Old, so you can easily just revert back if you need to.

  12. Hi Tango1977,

    Sorry for the late reply.

I made the VR support for the FlyJSim aircraft. FlyJSim and I intentionally left the VR yoke INOP due to limitations with the 3D modelling software that they used to create the animations. There is no possible way that we can add VR yoke support to both the 727 and 737 without completely rebuilding the animation for the yokes.

I'm assuming that you wrote this before we published the support, so I hope you are enjoying the beautiful knobs, switches and buttons. 🙂

    Cheers,

    Matheson

  13. Hi everyone,

This section is reserved for modification releases containing download links. This is not a section to request or discuss projects. All requests/discussions will be deleted if posted in this section. This allows a central and clean area to easily find releases which would otherwise be cluttered with requests and discussion.

If you would like to request a SimVRLabs mod or would like to discuss anything XPlane VR, please do so within the Announcements and Discussions section.

    Thanks for your cooperation.

  14. Hey!

I looked into this a while back but quickly realized that it is impossible to add intuitive VR support to this plane. Felis uses a plugin-based manipulator system similar to FlightFactor which is does not work with XPlane's native VR manipulation. This means that the only person that can bring intuitive VR support to the tu154 is Felis himself.

You can read more about this here: https://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/forums/topic/137661-vr-in-my-projects/

Also, in the future, please make threads in the "Announcements and Discussions" section as this (Downloads) is reserved for release posts only.

    Cheers,

  15. Hey!

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. I would love to take a look at it, however we need to own the plane before we can work on it. I currently do not own this plane as Carenado do not deserve my money with their poor products and misleading marketing.

A good example of this is what you fell victim to. "VR compatible click spots". While they are not lying in saying this, they greatly mislead the average buyer. This just means that the aircraft has partial VR support. The buttons, switches, and knobs will be operable in VR, however they have not been tuned to work intuitively. Carenado ported this plane from XPlane 11 and when doing so did not bother to build the full VR support that we know and love in most products. They did notice that the aircraft was able to be *mostly* used in VR, so they added that misleading feature in the notes.

There's nothing we can do about it unless we own the aircraft. Perhaps @Joe_K or @FatherSonFlightSimulator have the plane?

    Cheers,

    Matheson
