LTFM Istanbul Airport, Turkey - for MSFS 2020
LTFM - Istanbul Airport, Turkey
ver. 0.5.0 v.1.0.0 v1.0.1a
IMPORTANT: Remove previous LTFM scenery folder(s) from your Community folder
except the "tayakadin" imagery and extract the contents of this package (v1) instead.
NEW: Anyone wishing to try the new imagery can download this file
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1vgQILCVQbGB7dwZ_ELZAXI3uhewmL_xS/view?usp=sharing
and extract it to their Community folder AFTER removing the "tayakadin" folder.
Here it is, finally! Our second project for MSFS 2020 and this time it is enormous!
This rendition of the scenery is a conversion of our X-Plane 11 (WIP) scenery and we decided that we should
slow down with the X-Plane 11 version and concentrate more on the MSFS 2020 platform as -unfortunately- LTFM
is not included in the simulator even as a default airport.
Mind you, this is NOT a finished project BY ANY MEANS but we decided to share it as "open beta" so that people
enjoy their flights in and out of Istanbul in MSFS 2020. Everyone should know that we are aware of the missing
features and we will be working on them as the time goes by (and pressure is eased). I am sure most of the simmers
will be satisfied even with this "incomplete" version. We did our best to match all objects with their modelling
and placements. Obviously there are some duplicate to fill up empty spaces.
Missing features:
1- Taxiway H and it's connections to RWY 18/36 (there is no proper satellite imagery at the moment so the
missing part will be added when images of the airport is renewed by Google or Bing(!))
2- If you have the latest Navigraph Beta, you can use ILS and select all available runways for arrival. If not
then you cannot (we are limited by the available data).
3- ATC routes are only set up for Runways 18/36 and 17L/35R and around the main terminal area so don't expect
AI ATC to direct you to or from the other 3 runways, Cargo aprons, maintenance aprons and taxiways A and B
including their connections to any of the other 3 runways and aprons.
4- There are some texture problems here and there that we are aware of and will be working on them.
5- IRL, the airport is elevated towards the North (Black Sea) but we did not want to alter the terrain with our
current limited knowledge but it is in our "to do" list for future updates.
6- Taxi signs for the western part of the airport are missing, (you need to obtain an ADC chart from the internet,
my search found this web site with all necessary charts: https://www.pilotnav.com/airport/LTFM)
INSTALLATION
Installation is easy but you first need to download the base imagery files from our Google drive for a better
immersion. The geotif files that I had used to create this imagery set were downloaded from GO2 using Ortho4XP and
converted to MSFS format using various other freeware tools. After downloading the zip file, extract the contained
"argaeus-tayakadin-ltfm-istanbul" folder to your Community folder like any other add-on for MSFS 2020. The file is
just under of 1 GB in size (zipped) and here is the link to it:
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1UAaAaDw6G3r_QE7a023xiITAA5C0QwKq?usp=sharing
Without these files your scenery will be placed on a 6 yr old forest imagery.
Obviously you need to extract the actual scenery folder (argaeus-ltfm-istanbul) that you downloaded from this site and
place it to your Community folder and start your simulator.
IMPORTANT:
This scenery is NOT to be used in ANY type of COMMERCIAL simulators and the only way
for this to happen is to obtain our written consent after making a minimum donation of
€2000 (Euro Twothousand %00 or equivalent in local currency) to : LOSEV Leukemia Foundation
for Children. https://www.losev.org.tr/v6/
For those who intend to use this scenery in their personal computers for their personal joy,
it is free of charge but they can also make ANY amount of donation they wish to make to the same
foundation mentioned above. Based on the information in the website, all credit cards with
3D secure payment can be used.
We do not need money for a coffee or for a pint of beer but the charity needs it to treat those kids.
Special thanks to Kamil UZUN (MXI) and Muhteşem Fırtına ÖZÇINAR for letting us use their 3D Models in this joint project.
Enjoy your flights in and out of Istanbul.

LTFJ Sabiha Gokcen Intl. Airport, Istanbul
LTFJ Sabiha Gokcen Intl. Airport
Istanbul - TURKEY
ver 0.5.0
This is our first custom built airport for MSFS 2020 and it is by no means finished yet bu we have decided
to release it as a "public beta" because to say the least, the default one is not to our liking. We will spend
some more time to make it better but it is much more tempting to fly in and out even at it's current state. We
are aware that there are some texture problems here and there and we will be working on them, time permitting.
This scenery was originally created for X-Plane 11 by us with precious support from MXI and most of the 3D
models used in this converison were converted from that scenery. A few 3D objects are from an FSX converted
X-Plane 10 scenery which were imported to SU and then re exported to MSFS format.
This scenery is NOT to be used in ANY type of COMMERCIAL simulators and the only way for this to happen is
to obtain our written consent after making a minimum donation of €500 (or equivalent in local currency) to :
LOSEV Leukemia Foundation for Children. https://www.losev.org.tr/v6/
For those who intend to use this scenery in their personal computers for their personal joy, it is free of
charge but they can also make ANY amount of donation they wish to make to the same foundation mentioned above.
Based on the information in the website, all credit cards with 3D secure payment can be used.
Place the argaeus-ltfj-sabihagokcen folder contained in the zipped file into your Community folder and you are
ready to fly from LTFJ Sabiha Gokcen Intl Airport.
Enjoy your trip in and out of LTFJ.

LTBJ Izmir Adnan Menderes Intl. Airport v.3
LTBJ İzmir Adnan Menderes Intl. Airport Senaryosu / Scenery
LTBK Gaziemir senaryosunu da içermektedir / Including LTBK Gaziemir Military Training Airfield.
This scenery is one level up based on the previous version and almost all 3D models are made from scratch to give users a better
immersion while using it. We hope this version adds to your joy you get out of your flight simulator.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Installation options:
For those of you who want the easy installation, just extract the _LTBJ_Izmir_v3 folder in your Custom Scenery folder and start your
X-Plane 11. If you have all the required library folders in place it should open up without a problem.
By default, if you had already selected "Runways follow terrain contours" option from X-Plane Settings/General tab you will have
a natural (slightly) sloped airport area. If not, you will have your scenery flat as a dining table.
Having said that, although the airport area seems flat from a distant view, the slopes and elevation differences causes some
parts of the huge 3D models like the terminal building to partially float over or sink inside the terrain and if you are not
comfortable with this, you should then continue reading:
1- "Flatten" this scenery within X-Plane by replacing the Earth nav data folder located in the main package with the one provided in
"Flat" folder. Restart you XP, you are good to go. You can always revert this by copying the Earth nav data folder over the current one
from the "Natural" folder or extract the whole scenery package again. This is the easy option.
2- Extract the provided yOrtho4XP_Overlays.zip file to your Custom Scenery folder. If you already have this file then it is
up to you to overwrite it or not. This one is extracted from Alpilot's HD Mesh v4.
You will find zOrtho4XP_+38+027.zip file in the package which was created using Ortho4Xp by Oscar Pilote at ZL14. Extract the contained
folder to your Custom Scenery folder and re-arrange your scenery_packs.ini file. If you want a higher ZL ortho package, continue reading.
3- If you want to create your own tile for the region, copy the provided "Patches" folder (which was created with JOSM) to your Ortho4XP
folder and run O4XP to create the tile +38+027 at the desired ZL. If you already had the orthophotos downloaded previously, then it
shouldn't take more than 5-6 minutes to re-create the tile with this patch. This patch arranges the apron and runway elevations / slopes
so that the 3D objects are placed properly on ground. The elevation data of LTBJ was obtained from official Airport Obstacle Chart. If you
don't use the patch file, you will still have a scenery similar to the default mesh where you have some parts of the buildings floating and
some parts sunken. The choice is yours.

LTFM Istanbul Airport, Turkey
LTFM Istanbul Airport for X-Plane 11 (11.50+)
Version 2.0
October 29, 2020 is the 97th Anniversary of the Turkish Republic and LTFM Istanbul Airport is now 2 years old (officially) and this scenery is released today on the 29th to commemorate the official opening. Release of LTFM v1.0 was also on October 29, but that was 2 years ago.
This is a NEW rendition of LTFM from ground-up and has only a handful of objects in common with LTFM Istanbul v1.0 such as the ATC tower and few more objects. We had been working on this scenery since the first package was shared. It is a huge complex and we had to create lots of new 3D models to fill up the vast area - even the ones that are not completed yet IRL are already placed in their actual positions - as close as possible of course. I lost count how many taxi signs I had to create and how many times I had to draw lines and polygons. So did M. Ali as he repeatedly revised and re-exported his 3D models to create the best possible objects. We placed hundreds of parking slots to their RL positions and draw all markings as accurate as we possibly could based on the available satellite imagery and yet we need more time to call it "finished".
eg. ALL Terminal Gates are furnished with SAM jetways and a marshaller or DGS panel. All Apron parking positions are also furnished with either a marshaller or a DGS panel from SAM library. Gates and parking positions with L and R suffixes are for Cat C and smaller aircraft and only one jetway will approach the aircraft at terminal gates. The main gates (eg. D12, B2) are for Cat D and above aircraft and 2 jetways will approach them (provided the add-on has animated gates) but Cat C and smaller can also park at those positions with only one jetway approaching.
Parking positions are named such that they show "highest" Aircraft category like D12-(E) or 131-(C) or G11L-(C).
PS. During my tests, I found out that FF B777-300ER has a problem and jetways do not connect to this add-on, B777-200LR is ok.
Anyhow, here it is and it is AS IS therefore no need to complain about missing parts, we all know what they are.
*******REMOVE ANY PREVIOUS "LTFM" SCENERY THAT YOU ALREADY HAVE BEFORE INSTALLING THIS VERSION*******
There are 2 options to select from: A - FLAT and B - NATURAL
I will share 2 separate packages to avoid problems for those who does not care about slopes and tunnel entrances. As the file names are self explanatory, I will ONLY explain installation details in depth for NATURAL version. Select whichever you want. Both packages contain base ZL19 "airport" orthos.
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE ASKING FOR HELP OR COMPLAINING AND MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ALL NECESSARY LIBRARIES (PROPERLY) INSTALLED.
Required libraries / plugins:
- BS2001 Objects Library
- CDB-Library
- TFS_Aircraft_Library
- The_Handy_Objects_Library
- MisterX_Library
- OpenSceneryX
- SAM_Library and Plugin (freeware)
If you do not already have the libraries used in this package, you may find download links in the Master Library
List: http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?showtopic=90776
After making sure you have all necessary libraries, proceed to INSTALLATION:
FLAT option is a FLATTENED version of the NATURAL scenery so there are no slopes and tunnel entrances or elevated terrain; it looks just like a dinner table. For this option you do not need to worry about "Runways follow terrain contours" setting as it will not have any affect. Simply copy the _LTFM_Istanbul_Intl_v2.0 folder from the LTFM_FLAT.zip file in your Custom Scenery folder and start X-Plane 11 and enjoy.
For NATURAL option, we had to work a lot and we still need to work further to make the scenery reflect the reality. As the default X-Plane 11 mesh and the mesh obtained during ortho creation are both very much outdated, we decided to create a "patch" for the airport area using another magical tool named JOSM.
We used official AIP charts as our reference for the elevations at certain points of the airport area and used cross section charts to create the actual slopes of each and every one of the 5 current runways - as much as we could, of course.
Nearly all buildings we could spot from publicly shared videos and photos have been modelled and placed as close to their actual coordinates as possible.
To install the LTFM (NATURAL) scenery, simply extract the "_LTFM_Istanbul_Intl_v2.0" folder from LTFM_NATURAL.zip file to your Custom Scenery folder .
PS. If you had previously installed my _LTFM_Istanbul_GWS110 NATURAL scenery along with it's overlay and ortho files you do not need to reinstall them, just unpack this new _LTFM_Istanbul_Intl_v2.0 folder from LTFM_NATURAL and place it in your Custom scenery folder, re-arrange your scenery_packs.ini file and start your XP 11 but you still need abovementioned libraries and plugin.
BUT... If you do not copy provided Overlay and Ortho folders or create your own high ZL tile using the provided "patch" file and add them to your Custom Scenery folder, the outcome may not be so pleasant. Therefore, please carefully read and apply below instructions. Also, the "Runways Follow Terrain Contours" option MUST be "selected" in the General Settings tab otherwise the scenery will NOT be rendered as intended and you may have an unexpected FLAT or RAW outcome.
Installation for Ortho4XP users for NATURAL version:
I am sharing the Overlay files off of Alpilot's HD Mesh v4 (yOrtho4XP_Overlays.zip) and also the ZL14 Ortho4xp files for the region (zOrtho4XP_+41+028.zip). Just extract the folders contained in these 2 zip files to your Custom Scenery folder along with the _LTFM_Istanbul_Intl_v2.0 folder. Finally you should have 3 NEW folders:
_LTFM_Istanbul_Intl_v2.0
yOrtho4XP_Overlays
zOrtho4XP_+41+028 and these should be added to your scenery_packs.ini file in similar order - see
below example. There may be other items in between. Make sure that you do not
already have ortho files for the mentioned tile and if so move them out to a safe
place before you proceed copying these - just in case. You should remove any
other LTFM scenery package(s) or DISABLE them in your scenery_packs.ini file.

....
....
....
SCENERY_PACK Custom Scenery/zOrtho4XP_+41+028/
....
....
For people who wants HIGH ZL Orthos:
You can also use the contained "patch" file to create your own high ZL orthos with Ortho4XP. For this, you need to copy the "Patches" folder to your Ortho4XP main folder and run Ortho4XP. The file location should look like this ...\Ortho4XP\Patches\+40+020\+41+028\LTFM.patch.osm
If you understood what I wrote above, you should be able to create a high ZL tile with Ortho4XP without a problem, otherwise watch some YT videos.
IMPORTANT:
This scenery is NOT to be used in ANY type of COMMERCIAL simulators and the only way for this to happen is to obtain our written consent after making a minimum donation of €2000 (Euro Twothousand %00 or equivalent in local currency) to : LOSEV Leukemia Foundation for Children. https://www.losev.org.tr/v6/
For those who intend to use this scenery in their personal computers for their personal joy, it is free of charge but they can also make ANY amount of donation they wish to make to the same foundation mentioned above. Based on the information in the website, all credit cards with 3D secure payment can be used.

LTFM Istanbul Intl.
LTFM Istanbul Airport for X-Plane 11 (11.30+)
Version GWS1.0 NATURAL (Sloped) and FLAT versions.
This is a slightly enhanced rendition of my LTFM Istanbul (future) Gateway version, furnished with SAM jetways, DGS panels and marshallers for better immersion.
If you want a full custom scenery please follow this link :
The new layout includes RWY 18/36 which is due to open next week but there are no instruments yet to guide you to approach them. They will be added most probably with the next update of AIRAC files.
Complete layout was redrawn based on more than 100 google Earth Pro hi-res screen shots stitched together and all ground markings, direction and location signs along with gate/ramp numbers are placed as close to real life as possible.
As the default X-Plane mesh is still very much outdated along with the mesh created during orthophoto creation using Oscar Pilote's Ortho4XP, I made a patch file for the airport area using JOSM tool. I used official AIP charts to obtain the elevations at certain points of the runways and aprons and also used cross section obstacle charts to create the actual slopes of each and every one of the 5 current runways.
Installation instructions are in the readme files.

LTFJ Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen
The link on this page will take you to the download page of v2.
LTFJ - Sabiha Gokcen International Airport - Istanbul/TURKIYE
This scenery is a re-work of my previous one that I had published about 3 years ago using a scenery from
forums.x-plane.org site which was published and shared by Randy Westline as a freeware at that time. Custom
Terminal Buildings and some others around the airport belong to that scenery as before. I also used many
other objects from various freeware object library along with a couple of custom apron light objects with
the consent of the creator, Kamil Uzun.
I also implemented the recently published SAM jetways and DGS panels which means I have to thank the authors
for creating and publishing it as a freeware plugin for freeware scenery authors. Thank you Marten. With
this plugin, you can have 2 jetways docking to a Cat D or higher aircraft if you select the appropriate
Gates for them (201 to 208-HJ Gates). All the rest of the Gates (201A & B to 208A & B) have single jetways
for up to Cat C aircraft. All ramps are furnished with either a Docking Guidance System or a marshaller and
marshallers only appear when you come close to the ramp or gate, otherwise they are not visible.
You need to obtain the library and the plugin from this link and follow instructions for installation.
https://forum.thresholdx.net/files/file/122-sam-scenery-animation-manager/
X-Plane 11 native ATC Flows, Ground traffic and ATC Routes are working flawlessly. All ramp starts are placed
at their actual coordinates and all except 5 (ramps 4 to 8 ) of the ramps are in place. Scenery is also X-Life
ready. LTFJ.xlf file is included in the package and you need to carry it over to
../Resources/plugins/X-Life/Airports folder for it to work.
I created and tested this scenery WITHOUT selecting the "FLATTEN" option because the default X-Plane 11 and,
to some extent, Orto4XP v130 Mesh looked realistic enough and I like it this way. If your general X-Plane 11
"Runways follow terrain contours" setting is active/selected and
- If you still want to have a FLAT airport, you need to copy the apt.dat file from FLAT folder to
...X-Plane 11\Custom Scenery\_LTFJ_Sabiha_Gokcen\Earth nav data folder.
- If you want a natural sloped runway and apron, you can use the one that is placed inside the NATURAL folder
which is the default option.
No static aircraft placed in this scenery, if you want them, select the "Draw parked aircraft" option in
X-Plane 11 > Settings > Graphics tab. You will see plenty of them for the eye candy if you have a powerful
video card.
You need the following library for this scenery to load and work properly:
https://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/forums/topic/90776-master-list-of-libraries/
BS2001 Object Library
FJS_Scenery_Library
MisterX_Library
NAPS_library
OpenSceneryX
SAM_Library
Tested both in X-Plane 11.26 and 11.30 with default mesh and with Ortho4XP 1.30 tiles and mesh.
Thanks to Oscar Pilote for his great tool and to all Object Library creators.
Installation: Extract the _LTFJ_Sabiha_Gokcen folder to your Custom Scenery folder. Disable/Remove previous
scenery (if any).
Enjoy your flight to and from Sabiha Gokcen.

LTFJ Sabiha Gokcen Intl. Airport, Istanbul
LTFJ - Sabiha Gokcen International Airport - Istanbul/TURKIYE
This scenery is a re-work of my previous one that I had published about 2 years ago using a scenery from
forums.x-plane.org site which was published and shared by Randy Westline as a freeware at that time. Some
custom Terminal Buildings and a few others in the service area belong to that scenery as before. Main
terminal, Car park (only visible if you use Natural version), Turkish Technic and Cargo Hangars along with
many others were created by M. Ali Oguducu and Kamil Uzun. I also used various other objects from several
freeware object libraries along with a couple of custom apron lights, runway markings, skid marks with the
consent of the creator Kamil Uzun.
X-Plane 11 native ATC Flows, Ground traffic and ATC Routes are working flawlessly.
You will find 2 folders in the package (FLAT and NATURAL). As is, the scenery is the NATURAL one which should
be used with the provided Overlays (pulled off of Alpilot's HD Mesh) and ZL14 Ortho files in place. Make sure
to have all folders listed in proper order in the scenery_packs.ini file for intended rendering.
Finally you should have 3 NEW folders (2 if you already have the overlays folder):
_LTFJ_SabihaGokcen
yOrtho4XP_Overlays
zOrtho4XP_+40+029 and these should be listed in your scenery_packs.ini file in similar order.
(There may be other items in between though.) Make sure that you do not already
have ortho files for the mentioned tile and if so move them out to a safe place
before you proceed copying the provided ones - just in case.
If you want a FLAT scenery (with or without the Ortho) then you should copy "contents" of FLAT folder in to
_LTFJ_SabihaGokcen/Earth nav data folder. Make sure you have the "Runways follow terrain contours" option selected
on Settings > General tab for both FLAT and NATURAL choice.
No static aircraft are placed on the main apron so if you want them, select the "Draw parked aircraft" option
on the Settings > Graphics tab. You will see plenty of them for the eye candy if you have a powerful video card.
If you prefer a high ZL ortho then you should copy the Patches folder to your Ortho4XP folder and run the tool.
File location should look like this:
...\Ortho4XP\Patches\+40+020\+40+029\LTFJ.patch.osm
If you understand what I wrote above you most likely know how to create ortho tiles with Ortho4XP. If not just watch
some YT videos, I have one but unfortunately it is in Turkish. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ahHY7p82kAI
You need the following object libraries for this scenery to load and work properly:
BS2001 Object Library
CDB-Library
THE-FAIB Aircraft Library
TFS_Aircraft_Library
The_Handy_Objects_Library
ff_library
MisterX_Library
NAPS_library
OpenSceneryX

https://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/forums/topic/90776-master-list-of-libraries/
https://forum.thresholdx.net/files/file/122-sam-scenery-animation-manager/
Thank you to the authors for creating, publishing and sharing all these plugins and libraries.
Tested with X-Plane 11.41 and 11.50 using default mesh and Ortho4XP tiles and mesh. Thanks to Oscar Pilote
for his great tool.
Installation: Extract the _LTFJ_SabihaGokcen folder to your Custom Scenery folder. Disable/Remove/Delete previous
scenery of LTFJ (if any), the choice is yours.
Enjoy your flight to and from Sabiha Gokcen.

LTCO Agri Airport
LTCO Agri Ahmed-i Hani Airport (Eastern Anatolia) Turkiye
This project started 4 days ago and I really had hard time to cope with the speed of M.Ali Oguducu who created all custom
3D objects while I did the WED part (as usual).
For realistic rendition, this scenery requires Orthophoto which has to be created with Oscar Pilote's Ortho4XP tool. If you
do not want to put yourself into trouble with all this extra work then there is a second option for you. Extract the content
of _LTCO_Agri_GW.zip file to your Custom Scenery folder and you are good to go.
You need to copy the contained "Patches" folder in your Ortho4XP folder and start creating the tile (I recommend ZL15 with
ZL18 surroundings). Watch for the info "Patching LTCO.patch.osm" when you start creating the tile within the first 10-12
lines. If not shown, something is wrong with the Patches folder's "location". After creation of the tile, you should be able
to see a proper rendition of the scenery as shown in the screenshots.
In addition to the custom objects, you need
OpenSceneryX and
SAM_Library along with
SAM plugin for marshallers to work.
Tested with X-Plane 11.41
Enjoy your flights in and out of Agri.

LTAC Ankara Esenboga
LTAC Ankara Esenboga Intl. Airport v2
This scenery is a new rendition of an old Randy Westline LTAC conversion scenery that I had shared at forums.x-plane.org
web site for X-Plane 10 and all custom 3D models are from that package. I simply re-arranged them (for the second time) but
this time I based the layout on more recent geotiff satellite images downloaded from SAS Planet and is much more closer to
current real life now - with the third runway in place but not active yet. All taxi lines on aprons and on taxiways had been
re-drawn based on that geotiff imagery. Ground markings were all created with Sketchup by myself. ATC and Ground routes are all
re-arranged as well. All gates and ramps have SAM marshallers and all
Terminal gates have SAM (v.2.0.5) jetways.
If you face terrain problems with this scenery - which is very likely - rename the apt - FLAT.dat file to apt.dat and copy
it over the one in the Earth nav data folder. IRL, the terrain is very flat anyways.
Anyone who wishes to try the shared patch file to re-create the Ortho tile should copy the shared +40+030 folder in to
Ortho4XP/patches folder and run Ortho4XP at any desired ZL. This will flatten the terminal area so that the huge object is
placed properly on ground and you will see slight gradients over the length of the runways as per official x-section charts.
PS: Please make a copy of your current tile folder just in case and do not blame me afterwards; the patch works for me so
it should work for you. 🙂
Enjoy.
