  1. My flight plan with VNAV and LNAV guidance is properly set up in the MCDU as far as I can tell. And LNAV and VNAV are on and correctly guide the aircraft to cruising altitude and hold it there. However when it's time to descend, nothing happens - the aircraft simply continues at cruise altitude. The TOD symbol comes and goes, but no descent. Waypoints with altitude restrictions come and go - no descent. I've included screenshots. Looking for ideas. I've tried this about 5 times now with the same result.
  2. Ok thanks. Any chance you would be willing to explain a bit of the EFB to me?
  3. I have persistent problems that have entered my aircraft recently, and I cannot figure out how to resolve them. The first is that GEN1 will not fire up with the engines running. Or perhaps it is fired up but the GEN OFF BUS and SOURCE OFF lights are on incorrectly? The AC monitoring panel when switched to GEN1 shows 114 volts. Also in the last few days I'm having issues frequently with the cockpit and I assume cabin not getting oxygen so after achieving cruise altitude everyone is asphyxiated. I have turned off the checkbox in Xplane so that it doesn't mess with my flights. I've got the FLT ALT set for cruise altitude, LAND ALT set for destination airport altitude. Valve is open, flow is on AUTO. I do not know what else to look for that would affect this functionality. And I believe it worked several days ago, but now is not. Any ideas?
  4. So am I to assume that the lack of response means there is no separate LU guide?
  5. Good to know - thanks! And where is the user guide for the LU version of the EFB. I see one for Zibo in the 737NG folder but the appearance and functionality of the LU version seems different. Like many of the functions are not there.
  6. I'm probably missing something here, but the 737-800 Zibo Modified LU EFB is pretty different than the base Zibo EFB version, and a number of functions don't work or appear differently. And the folder structure is also different from what is shown in the EFB documents. Is there a LU version of the EFB?
  7. I've been using this aircraft for a while with no issues, but now something I cannot identify has changed and I'm having a problem. When I start a flight in XP with 'Start with Engines Running' checked, the engines are started, but the generators are not on, and the GEN1 generator will not turn on at all and shows Source Off warning in amber. The FO avionics are off, and a number of systems are not operational due to the generators being off. I have deleted the entire 737NG folder, re-downloaded and extracted. The issues persists, and the headings and various other MCP settings persist from the last flight. This makes me think that the aircraft state is not stored with the aircraft folder, and perhaps something is messed up with the saved state. I am not using the Config store and Save function of the EFB yet as I have not figured out how that works. I've attached a log file. I notice there are a number of "LevelUp FM: add" rows with no other content. Probably not germane to these problems, but curious nonetheless. I also am having an issue with the parking brake being off every time the aircraft spawns so it runs into the airport buildings and equipment. Log.txt
  8. Yes they are. Done them many times. Lack of knowledge or skill is not the problem unfortunately- I could fix that!
  9. Yep - the problems and fixes were with the 800 - sounds like the 700 is a different situation. I haven’t (and won’t) try it. That said, the fixes I mentioned mostly work but it still wobbles and porpoises on occasion, and I have other issues with unpredictable states and behaviors. Very frustrating. That’s not realism for sure. What I meant by realism (I’m not a pilot either) is unlike any sim aircraft I’ve flown, this one is very fiddly with the relationship between the FD, AP, attitude and yoke pressure. I’ve read elsewhere that this is similar to how those airliners actually behave. I’m about to give up on the 800. I’ve made probably close to 100 attempts to go from cold and dark to a gate after landing. Not one has completed successfully. Probably not realistic either!!
  10. If you are still having this issue I suggest reading my posts below, primarily watching the video I suggested.
  11. I'm not sure an update is going to help you - unless they decide to make the whole ILS/AP/FD/APP systems less fiddly. Doubt that will happen as the trajectory seems to be towards more realistic. I think part of the problem with this approach is that we're using joysticks and other controllers that do not reflect the real world without a lot of time configuring, experimenting, researching etc. I like study-level aircraft, but this one is taking me weeks to work out the various kinks compared to other fine airliners that take a couple of days at most. And I'm not done yet. They do provide some configuration options to make things a bit better. They help somewhat, but they also make things more complicated to sort out. Be nice if they had some difficulty-level presets for this. I've also noticed that loading the same saved flights/configurations does not produce the same results each time. Frequently I get porpoising or wobbling etc. I also have random instrument lights or displays go on or off. So clearly this AC and perhaps the others in the series are a work in progress. I'm trying to successfully go from cold and dark to landing this thing and I've made over 50 attempts over a week with no success as yet. And I'm not a newbie - I have thousands of hours in various aircraft. I'm probably going to stop trying that and just fly it - or my IXEG 737-300. Old school but fun and reliable. I wish I could provide more help (instead of whining) but it's very complex and my experience is that it just requires a lot of fiddling around with controllers, configuration settings, aircraft setup and aircraft operations. There's info on each one of these but they require separate searching and researching. I wish you luck!
  12. This video solved these issues for me. It says Zibo - and it still pertains.
  13. It seems that with the latest update the AP/FD/ILS situation has become more difficult. Perhaps you don't have any issues at this point, but I found this video to be very helpful in this regard. I know it says Zibo - but it also pertains to these AC.
  14. I feel your pain. After days of struggling with this issue I came across this video for Zibo which also pertains to this AC since the LevelUp was built from Zibo. These EFB configuration and operational suggestions have solved these problems for me. Hope it works for you. There is another AP configuration piece which I don't believe he mentions but is also important for the Auto-throttle. In the EFB Configure & Customise>Hardware section set 'A/T Engaged Lock Throttle' to ON. As he mentions with the latest updates this AC has become more realistic, meaning touchy and difficult to operate in the area of AP, ILS etc. So there are some sim settings that tone this down to make it user friendly. Let me know if this works for you. Also make sure that you figure out how to make these configuration changes persist, otherwise you will be chasing this again and again.
