[METAR updates v1.17]

I don't seem to be getting realistic METAR updates with v1.17...  it has been snowing really heavy at EDDM Munich for about two weeks now with no different weather patterns, same at other airports as they always seem to be always getting the same weather?

XP 11.51 + xEnviro + Vulkan is a total win, win for me, great to have it back after nine months of dreary default weather....

Yes I did actually did read that announcement, but the record to date is not the best either, it will still be going on way, way longer than anybody actually cares about anymore, unless this time you could prove yourselves different

Thank the lord god for that....  probably another long excruciating 11 month wait though until I can actually use xEnviro again (and no, I can't or will use OPGL)

Not true, Vulkan/Metal was part of the original X-Plane11 roadmap, it has been a three year project by Laminar and a core system required switch, and was started well, well before any MSFS announcement, in fact it is four months overdue in development.

Thanks for all the work, but I won't be downloading, why would I want to use OpenGL? I can't use OpenGL anyway with doing reviews....  I don't even have v11.41 in my computer anymore...  just more, and more wasted time? God this is going to take forever!

Thanks for the info... but basically 1.14 is totally useless to us..  if it doesn't work in Vulkan. I haven't ran xEnviro for months, crave it yes, but can't simply run it because I need Vulkan to do my review work and 11.41 has now been totally retired? I feel most users are in the same similar position... so why not just move on straight to 1.15...

I'm pretty well convinced to go ahead and purchase it as I would rather fly in something more aesthetically overall pleasing than higher frame rates.  Any additional comments are welcome.  To some degree its kind of like operating on faith that XE will eventually working using the VULKAN API and then what a glorious day that will be for everyone.

 

No wait for the v1.14 update, xEnviro is good, but the current severe framerate crushes just make it unworkable in some situations...  I have dumped it (again) and gone back to v1.07. What xEnviro really needs is the Vulkan memory processing management, but that won't come for ages either?
