    Thanks for confirming!

Not really - I have more than one copy installed, and they can't all be called "X-Plane 11" and reside at the root of a drive. XP12 latest will not have a default folder name "X-Plane 11", so... 😀

This is a workaround to the problem for anyone who wants to fly the plane right now and doesn't want to actually edit a config file. If the person doesn't want to do it they can wait until an update is out sometime soon.

Also it's pretty hard to know if the plane would work in XP12 if we don't have a copy 😉

This issue btw. does not only exist for X-Plane folders not being located at the root of a drive structure, but also for alternate X-Plane folder names. My X-Plane is installed at

    D:\XP11

something the lua script didn't like. Hard-coding this path in the same way XPJavelin described fixed the CTD for me as well (B738.anav.lua line 224):

    --xplane_file_path = find_dataref("zibomod/Xplane_Path")
    xplane_file_path			= "D:/XP11/"

That is correct. I've failed to also mention this as I also tested this and have been able to reproduce it.

Renaming it to "X-Plane 11" can also fix this

  3. Like what Tim said.

If the eventuality of the G/S equipment not working on the Airport you can use to ILS frequency to just use the LOC since the LOC and G/S are 2 different systems and antennas. You will sometimes see on the charts that there's a MDA for just LOC

  4. Thanks for reminding me of this thread,

@XPJavelinThanks for the tip on where to find the problem. When I've managed to get back to my home, I've spent a day with Zibo on trying to find a better way to make this work.

What ended up being was that this was related on how librain received the directory of the plane. This meant that either Zibo or Level Up would crash on certain directories with the Windshield Effects "On". If you test any version of Zibo near start of the year you would see it crash every time you activate Windshield Effects to SKI.

The good news is that this is fixed which you can see on the Latest Zibo Update.

For Level Up we will incorporate the fix on the next update but If you want a workaround for you to appreciate the A/C right now. You can either move X-Plane to the root of the drive or edit what @XPJavelin has written.

Thank you guys for the feedback

  5. Hi,

This is a English speaking forum, so if it were possible for any post remain in that language.

In order for your altimeter to be in Hectopascal or QNH, you can change it in the EFIS with the top right rotary

If you want the airplane to start at Hectopascal you can change it at the Tablet and then save it. This change will only affect the livery you are saving at, so if you download any other livery it will probably have different settings.

LevelUp never answered to the original question. The answer had to come from someone willing to share their personal experiences.

If LevelUp or a moderator had simply answered the question in the beginning, they could have then closed the thread, so that the content provided would remain topic subject relevant.

Don't get me wrong, I do understand that keeping conversations "on-topic" should be a goal, but if we want to micro-manage, then please do that from the beginning of a thread.

I do understand what you were saying. I had the unfortunate of my family getting COVID while out of town with limited access to the internet. This made me unable to help and moderate between the 3rd of January and 21st of January (That's why I went silent here in the forums), and I do wish to have been able to interject right at the moment when it was starting to derail. What you are saying is correct.

And I will not respond to the " it's considered an annoyance to some pilots", as that will get me banned.

This was more of a side comment on how a lot of pilots are not always fan of it. It was kinda equivalent to the "Bitchin' Betty" from the MD-80. It was not useless nor is it unrealistic, it was just a bit annoying.

We don't consider X-RAAS to be useless, it was just not on our heads because we were more focused on other stuff to be able to get the airplane to be useful.

And just for context, on Zibo's page there was no mention X-RAAS within the installation instructions, even though it contains the X-RAAS.cfg file

    Quote

    Full package:

1/ Delete old release (backup folder before delete)
2/ Copy folder "B737-800X" (from "full" package) to folder "XPLANE11/Aircraft/"
3/ Download and install latest TerrainRadar plugin by DrGluck (install to folder XPLANE11/Resources/plugins)
4/ Download and install latest AviTab plugin by Folko (install to folder XPLANE11/Resources/plugins)
    5/ Enjoy

You do realize that conversations evolve over time, right?  I can read too.

    Dan,

When people search for a particular problem they usually want a fix to that particular problem. If the thread starts to deviate and offer unrelated advice then the posts end up serving no purpose for the original thread.

The fix was simply to add the X-RAAS.cfg to the 737 NG folder and not modifying zibo's own files. Because what it ends up doing is when a future update has a lot of changes, someone who encounters this thread might take your advice then will only just get problems since that person doesn't know what he is doing and only knows that it will probably fix his problems.

My problem was never about how conversations evolve. My problem is when people are not given "just" the accurate solution.

  8. Hi,

Could you please follow these instructions:

    1. Install the "737NG Series" on the "X-Plane 11\Aircraft" folder. And Not on the "Laminar Research" folder or "Extra Aircraft" folder.

    2. Make sure you have the latest C++ Redistribution. https://aka.ms/vs/17/release/vc_redist.x64.exe

    3. Make sure you have the latest drivers for you Graphics Card.

    4. Make sure you don't have xLUA in your "X-Plane 11\Resources\plugins" folder

    5. Validate on Steam or run the Installer to check on missing or broken files

    6. Turn off or add an exclusion folder on your Anti-Virus

Make a detailed post on including Aircraft Type, Issue and Description and a Log.txt

Tell us everything you've done to try to resolve it on your own. Follow the steps above and tell us you did them, each one of them.

When can we expect an update?  At very least to fix minor issues.  That might be more productive than telling us that we shouldn't be handing out pragmatic advice in the forums.  Especially since messing something up only requires a reinstallation of the aircraft to fix.

This thread is supposed to be about X-RAAS which don't equate to any zibo files to be replaced. You can take Zibo's X-RAAS.cfg file from his B738X and put it on the LU this will eliminate the warnings.
