  1. Out of the VR Lab: Carenado Cessna 210M Centurion II (with and without REP supported) This update tweaked several things that were very frustrating in VR with the touch controllers. The yoke has been dialled in for VR controllers and the knobs and other manipulators have been tuned for a much better experience overall. Also fine tuned the teleport hotspots. Manipulators that have been tweaked to work in VR are: VR Yoke tweaked to work on "realistic yoke" setting Fuel Selector Switch slowed Ignition Switch slowed (realistic mag checks without twitchy-ness) Mixture axis tuned to follow your hand without acceleration Throttle axis tuned to follow your hand without acceleration Prop axis tuned to follow your hand without acceleration Trim Wheels have natural speed Cowl Flap handle follows hand perfectly Flap handle tuned and haptic detents added so you can feel marked degree positions All knobs tuned for correct speed Many other levers, knobs, and switches tuned Installation Instructions: I recommend making a backup copy of your X-plane 11/Aircraft/C210M folder. Just rename it to something like C210M Old, so you can easily just revert back if you need to. Step 1. Unzip the file and you’ll find 2 files. Add both the Car_Centurion_vrconfig.txt file and the Car_Centurion_cockpit.obj to your Aircraft’s root folder, overwrite. Keep the zip file on your computer so you can re-apply the SimVRlabs mod after any updates that come your way. Step 2. Enjoy! Things to know: These mods will work with or without REP, just download the correct zip file and you're on your way. Disclaimer: This is not an officially supported Carenado update, so don't expect support from them on it. If you need help you can always ask me or just revert to your backed up vrconfig files. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ You must be a member of the club to download any files so please go ahead and join up, otherwise you will get an error. 2. Out of the VR Lab: Digital Replica Cessna 310L VR This update tweaks nearly everything to work better in VR. I worked very hard to make things just act and “feel” as right as they can. Also, we give you teleport hotspots at the ailerons, elevator, and rudder and make them moveable with VR controllers, so you can do your walkaround checks. This aircraft is still getting regular updates and the SimVRlabs VR mod will be updated as needed to maintain functionality! Manipulators that have been tweaked to work in VR are: -ADF frequency handle tuned for VR controller rotation -Autopilot pitch control tuned with haptic detent at "level" -Prop levers -Haptic feedback detents everywhere you’d expect them -OBS knobs -Trim wheels and knobs -Cowl Flap Handles -Transponder knobs -GPS knobs -Autopilot heading knob -Mode knobs -Fuel Selector Knobs -Reflections dialed back a bit for VR intensity -Ailerons, elevator, rudder are grab-able, move-able *(see "what's new" below) -Hotspots in every seat -VR Yoke added and tuned What's new in V101: Mod is now compatible with the 1.0.8 Digital Replica 310L update. Move-able ailerons, elevator, and rudder feature has been suspended until further official updates are released. What's new in V102: Bug with the small GPS freq dial is fixed. Magnet added for "x-pad", now it spawns on a magnet spot on the pilot side door. Easy to take off, reposition, and put back on. Visible green click spot removed from elevator trim wheel, battery amp meter switch, and ADF dial for visibility (functionality is the same). Light rheostat knobs now have variable-brightness knob like behaviour, instead of "toggle on or off"behaviour. What's new in V103: Now compatible with the excellent 1.0.9 update. What's new in V104: Now compatible with the 1.10 update, adding the new icing switches and updated cowl handles. The BEST way to update this one is to completely delete your 310 folder, don't just let the x-aviation installer overwrite the files. Remove the aircraft completely from x-plane before you install the latest version of the aircraft. Then run the installer to install the aircraft. THEN apply the SimVRlabs files. Installation Instructions: I recommend making a backup copy of your X-plane 11/Aircraft/X-Aviation/Cessna 310L folder. Just rename it to something like Cessna 310L Old, so you can easily just revert back if you need to. Step 1. Unzip the file and you’ll find 2 files. Add both the Cessna_310L_vrconfig.txt file and the Cessna_310L_cockpit.obj to your Aircraft’s root folder, overwrite. Keep the zip file on your computer so you can re-apply the SimVRlabs mod after any updates that come your way. Step 2. Enjoy! Disclaimer: This is not an officially supported Digital Replica update, so don’t expect support from them on it. If you need help you can always ask me or just revert to your backed up folders. If you lose the old files and just want to reset everything just reinstall the aircraft. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ You must be a member of the club to download any files so please go ahead and join up, otherwise you will get an error. 3. Out of the VR Lab: Carenado DO228 HD This update tweaks nearly everything to work better in VR. I worked very hard to make things just act and "feel" as right as they can. Also, we give you teleport hotspots at the ailerons, elevator, and rudder and make them moveable with VR controllers, so you can do your walkaround checks. Look for the hotspots up in the air around the aircraft parts. Manipulators that have been tweaked to work in VR are: -All Autopilot buttons working -Throttle -Prop levers -Haptic feedback detents everywhere you'd expect them -Radar Altitude knob -Trim wheels and knobs -Arm Rests -Visors -Lighting and Temperature knobs -CRS 1 OBS dial -HDG dial -CRS 2 OBS dial -Pitch Trim wheel manipulators added -Altimeter baro pressure knobs -Altitude Selector knob -Parking Brake orientation corrected and tuned -Overhead rudder knob -Instrument brightness knobs -VR Yoke added and tuned -Flaps Installation Instructions: I recommend making a backup copy of your X-plane 11/Aircraft/Carenado DO228 folder. Just rename it to something like Carenado DO228 Old, so you can easily just revert back if you need to. Step 1. Unzip the file and you'll find 2 files. Add both the DO228_vrconfig.txt file and the DO228_cockpit.obj to your Aircraft's root folder, overwrite. Step 2. Enjoy! Disclaimer: This is not an officially supported Carenado update, so don't expect support from them on it. If you need help you can always ask me or just revert to your backed up folders. If you lose the old files and just want to reset everything just reinstall the aircraft. Extra Tip: If the cockpit seems all too glossy to you in VR, we found it's best to do this: In the Aircraft/objects folder, you'll see several obj files. Using a good text editor (such as notepad++) open i1.obj, i2.obj, i3.obj, and i4.obj and change the GLOBAL_specular 1 line to GLOBAL_specular .8 on each of the 4 files. Save and reload your aircraft. Viola! If you would like a touch more reflection and gloss, feel free to experiment. .85 is pretty good but getting a bit too glossy for me (Joe). I feel the sweet spot is .8, but this is subjective. In non-VR, a full value of 1 looks spectacular, but in VR it can be a bit much for some, myself included. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ You must be a member of the club to download any files so please go ahead and join up, otherwise you will get an error. 4. Out of the VR Lab: RWDesigns Twin Otter V2 Now featuring custom hotspots, ergonomic yoke, and many other custom hand-tuned manipulators optimized to work with VR touch controllers. No more axis lines on the throttle and condition levers, no more having to operate each lever one at a time. I worked very hard to make things just act and "feel" as right as they can. Manipulators that have been tweaked to work in VR are: -All Autopilot buttons working -Flaps with detents you can feel at each marked spot -Props, throttle, and mixture customized and tuned - Center click spots added to operate both at the same time -All rotational knobs changed to a knob, using wrist roll and tuned for speed -All overhead light knobs tuned -ADF and Transponder knobs tuned -Oxygen and AC levers tuned -Trims custom tuned -OBS dial -HDG dial -Altimeter baro pressure knobs -Altitude Selector knob -VR Yoke added and tuned *Ergonomic mode only right now, see notes. -Custom teleport hotspots, including one at the cabin door and in passenger seats Things that still don't work correctly: *The yoke is only working in ergonomic mode, even if you have your sim set to realistic setting. This is due to a bug that would crash to desktop if I tuned it for realistic. This bug will require support from the developer to fix. *The tiller is not operable in this release. It is animated fine with rudder input, it's just not clickable yet. The plan is to add this in the future once the realistic yoke is fixed. EDIT **Tiller fixed in V101 *The reverse throttle is backward. This was built with the old X-plane reverser model, which means you have to assign a button to "reverse toggle". I used the "A" button on my rift's right controller. Then you have to push the throttle FORWARD to add reverse thrust, even though the throttle handle animation is going further backward. Once you toggle back to forward thrust, the animation is in sync again with your hands. I hope to fix this in the future. EDIT **Yoke Realistic Mode fixed in V102 - no more CTD when grabbing yoke in realistic mode What's new in V101: Tiller now clickable and usable with VR controllers. Rudder pedal input will override tiller, so keep those pedals still when operating tiller. Altitude Alert button, GA button and MDA button had texture issues in V100, this has been fixed. OBS and Heading Knob was moving in steps of 2 degrees at a time instead of 1 degree at a time, this has been fixed. What's new in V102: Yoke now works in Realistic mode with VR controllers. Installation Instructions: I recommend making a backup copy of your X-plane 11/Aircraft/DHC6 Twin Otter folder. Just rename it to something like DHC6 Twin Otter Old, so you can easily just revert back if you need to. Step 1. Very Important! Open X-Plane and jump into any aircraft. Once you're sitting in your cockpit, go up to the menu - plugins - STMA AutoUpdate - you must select "AutoUpdate Disabled". If you don't, then your files will get reverted back to the originals every time you reload the Twin Otter. You can periodically check for new updates, but every time you do you'll have to re-install the SimVRlabs mod. Once you've selected AutoUpdate Disabled, then move on to step 2. Step 2. Unzip the file paste the contents into your DHC6-300 Twin Otter V2 root folder, overwrite. Step 3. Enjoy! Disclaimer: This is not an officially supported RWDesigns update, so don't expect support from them on it. If you need help you can always ask me through the support section of the website or just revert to your backed up folders. If you lose the old files and just want to reset everything just reinstall the aircraft. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ You must be a member of the club to download any files so please go ahead and join up, otherwise you will get an error. 5. Out of the VR Lab: Carenado B1900D HD Now featuring a fully working Autopilot for VR touch controllers, working yoke, and many other custom hand-tuned manipulators optimized to work with VR touch controllers. No more axis lines on the throttle and condition levers and those armrests. I worked very hard to make things just act and "feel" as right as they can. Manipulators that have been tweaked to work in VR are: -All Autopilot buttons working -Throttle with detents you can feel at the transition to reverse throttle -Props and mixture customized and tuned -Perfectly tuned IAS bugs around the airspeed indicator -All overhead light knobs tuned -ADF and Transponder knobs tuned -Arm Rests -Oxygen and AC levers tuned -Pressurization Knobs -CRS 1 OBS dial -HDG dial -CRS 2 OBS dial -Flaps no longer an animated toggle, now a fully working lever with detents you can feel -Altimeter baro pressure knobs -Altitude Selector knob -Parking Brake hand tuned -Avidyne Page knob -Avidyne zoom knob -Custom interior volume knob rotation corrected and tuned -VR Yoke added and tuned -Custom teleport hotspots, including one at the cabin door and in passenger seats Things that still don't work correctly: *The Climb and Descend buttons on the autopilot require you to push the V/S autopilot button first for them to work correctly. Carenado has these as custom manipulators that do both of these actions on one mouse click, but I couldn't create a custom VR-clickable manipulator that replicates this by firing two datarefs at once...so you just have to hit V/S and then hit Climb or Descend, and then it works fine - Starts you on a +800 fpm or -800 fpm climb and descent, respectively. *The visors are a mess. *The props do not have a centre click-spot to move them all at once, so you'll have to move them one at a time with the VR controllers. This is due to some custom code conflicts that can not be corrected with this version. *The Master Caution Reset and Master Warning Reset buttons do not work with VR controllers, only on mouse-click. Again due to some custom coding that can only work on mouse click, not VR controllers. It works well with VR mouse though. What's New in V101: Heading Sync bug has been fixed, altitude knob has been tuned for faster speed. Installation Instructions: I recommend making a backup copy of your X-plane 11/Aircraft/Carenado B1900D folder. Just rename it to something like Carenado B1900D Old, so you can easily just revert back if you need to. Step 1. Unzip the file and you'll find 2 files. 6. Out of the VR Lab: Bell 429 Freeware by Timber61 This fantastic freeware helicopter only needed a few tweaks to get her to excellence in VR. The cyclic and collective are now usable with VR Touch controllers, and some knobs were corrected and tuned, as well as teleport hotspots added for Pilot and Copilot positions. Currently, this mod only works with the default version of the aircraft, not the WLG mod (the one with landing gear/wheels) This version will be added in a future update. Manipulators that have been tweaked to work in VR are: -Cyclic stick -Collective -ADF 1 knobs -ADF 2 knobs -Fan forward knob -Fan aft knob -Fan temp knob -Console brightness knob orientation corrected and speed-tuned -Analog Barometer knob changed from axis and tuned -Custom Teleport Hotspots Added Installation Instructions: I recommend making a backup copy of your X-plane 11/Aircraft/Bell 429 folder. Just rename it to something like Bell 429 Old, so you can easily just revert back if you need to. Step 1. Unzip the file and you'll find 2 files. 7. Out of the VR Lab: Carenado Cessna 404 Titan This massive update pretty much remade everything inside the fuselage that was a manipulator. I worked very hard to make things just act and "feel" as right as they can. Manipulators that have been tweaked to work in VR are: -All Autopilot buttons working -Throttle -Prop Lever -Mixture -Radar Altitude knob -Trim wheels and knobs -ADF Card -Custom GPS Buttons -Lighting sliders -Custom Teleport Hotspots Added -Outside door-opening clickspots added for passenger door, front cargo doors, nose doors. -Avidyne knobs-Decision Height knob -Altimeterbaro pressure knobs -Altitude Selector knob -Parking Brake -Weather Radar Page knob -Instrument brightness knobs -VR Yoke added and tuned -Flaps with custom detent "click" at takeoff position Still needing work: The Prop levers do not have a combination manipulator to move them both at the same time. One was made, but it conflicted with some under the hood stuff, so right now it's a work-in-progress bug. The Autopilot altitude knob does not work, so for now, you'll have to manually pay attention to level changes. It's a work-in-progress bug. What's new in V101: Hotfix - Push buttons added to GPS knobs for cursor and Com/Nav Freq toggle. Installation Instructions: I recommend making a backup copy of your X-plane 11/Aircraft/Alabeo C404 folder. Just rename it to something like Alabeo C404 Old, so you can easily just revert back if you need to. Step 1. Unzip the file and you'll find 2 files. 8. Out of the VR Lab: Just Flight Piper PA28 Arrow III This update tweaks almost every manipulator and adds a custom yoke for VR touch controllers. Now things just work and feel as they should. This is a very immersive little aircraft! Manipulators that have been tweaked to work in VR are: -All knobs changed from axis to knobs and hand-tuned for the correct speed -Throttle -Prop lever -Mixture -Perfectly tuned trim wheels and knobs -Fuel Selector knobs -Lighting and Temperature knobs -CRS 1 OBS dial -HDG dial -CRS 2 OBS dial -Decision Height knob -Altimeterbaro pressure knobs -Parking Brake customized -Instrument brightness knobs -VR Yoke added and tuned Installation Instructions: I recommend making a backup copy of your X-plane 11/Aircraft/JF PA28 Arrow folder. 9. Out of the VR Lab: Carenado C208B HD This update features a fully working Autopilot for VR touch controllers, working yoke, and many other custom hand-tuned manipulators optimized to work with VR touch controllers. Levers, three-way switches, and knobs have all been hand tuned. I worked very hard to make things just act and "feel" as right as they can. Manipulators that have been tweaked to work in VR are: -All Autopilot buttons working -Throttle -Condition Lever -Mixture -Radar Altitude knob -Trim wheels and knobs -Arm Rest -Fuel Selector knobs -Lighting and Temperature knobs -CRS 1 OBS dial -HDG dial -CRS 2 OBS dial -Decision Height knob -Altimeter baro pressure knobs -Altitude Selector knob -Parking Brake orientation corrected -Weather Radar Page knob -Instrument brightness knobs -VR Yoke added and tuned -Flaps New in V101: -Thrust reverse fixed. Now when you go into the reverse position you'll feel a haptic vibration, and the reverse thrust will not engage unless you "lift" the handle away from the throttle lever. Act like you're pulling the handle off of the arm. This simulates unlocking the latch and allowing throttle arm to go into reverse position. If you go into reverse position without lifting, you'll feel a constant "ticking" vibration until you "lift". New in V102: -Teleport Hotspots added. Copilot, the first-row seat behind Pilot, 3rd-row seat behind Copilot, Rear seat behind Pilot, Right side cargo bay facing right rear cargo door, Left side cargo bay facing left rear cargo door Installation Instructions: I recommend making a backup copy of your X-plane 11/Aircraft/Carenado C208B folder. 10. Out of the VR Lab: Mitsubishi MU-2B Marquise Nearly everything that is moveable in this aircraft has been customized and tuned with VR controllers in mind. Yoke, Trims, Throttle, Condition Levers, Switches, Knobs, and Hotspots at every seat. Highlights of things tweaked to work in VR are: -Condition Levers tuned with haptic detents at every stop-pit -Throttle with detents you can feel at the transition from flight idle -Flaps with every detent added to the haptic vibrational feedback -All knobs tuned -All switches tuned with respect to functionality, i.e. holding the switch down and on release, it springs back to centre. -Speed Brake with haptic detents -Reverse throttle perfectly tuned -Center throttle and condition manipulators added to control both levers at once -Elevator trim tuned for accurate speed -HDG dial -CRS dial -Altimeter baro pressure knobs -Altitude Selector knob -VR Yoke added and tuned -Custom teleport hotspots, including one at the cabin door and in a wing window passenger seat. Things that still don't work correctly: *The yoke has some hydraulic smoothing coded into the roll. It's not noticeable if you are flying her easy and correctly, but it can only be rolled so fast. It's not a bug, but it's a noticeable thing and is a bit different than the other SimVRlabs aircraft. You definitely feel just a tad disconnected from fast and small corrections with regard to roll - pitch feels perfect. Installation Instructions: Please read the disclaimer at the bottom of the page. This update in no way effects flight model or systems, only manipulator interaction with regards to VR, and some VR teleport hotspots added. I recommend making a backup copy of your X-plane 11/Aircraft/Mitsubishi folder. Just rename it to something like Mitsubishi Old, so you can easily just revert back if you need to. Step 1. Before, axis were reversed and the shades slid up and down on a wrist pivot (unnatural). Now the axis is correct, and the shades slide up and down naturally as you would with your hands. Also, vibrations were added so you can "feel" the slide. Things that still don't work right: The visors are a mess. We may be able to fix those, but no promises. Copilot, the first-row seat behind Pilot, 3rd-row seat behind Copilot, Rear seat behind Pilot, Right side cargo bay facing right rear cargo door, Left side cargo bay facing left rear cargo door
  17. Out of the VR Lab: Just Flight Piper PA28 Arrow III This update tweaks almost every manipulator and adds a custom yoke for VR touch controllers. Now things just work and feel as they should. This is a very immersive little aircraft! 18. -Avidyne knobs-Decision Height knob -Altimeter baro pressure knobs -Altitude Selector knob -Parking Brake -Weather Radar Page knob -Instrument brightness knobs -VR Yoke added and tuned -Flaps with custom detent "click" at takeoff position Still needing work: The Prop levers do not have a combination manipulator to move them both at the same time. One was made, but it conflicted with some under the hood stuff, so right now it's a work-in-progress bug. The Autopilot altitude knob does not work, so, for now, you'll have to manually pay attention to level changes. It's a work-in-progress bug. What's new in V101: Hotfix - Push buttons added to GPS knobs for cursor and Com/Nav Freq toggle.
  19. Manipulators that have been tweaked to work in VR are: -Cyclic stick -Collective -ADF 1 knobs -ADF 2 knobs -Fan forward knob -Fan aft knob -Fan temp knob -Console brightness knob orientation corrected and speed-tuned -Analog Barometer knob changed from axis and tuned -Custom Teleport Hotspots Added
  21. What's new in V101: Tiller now clickable and usable with VR controllers.
  22. Out of the VR Lab: X-Trident Bell 412 This fantastic bird gets some much deserved VR touch controller love. The cyclic and collective are now usable with VR Touch controllers, and some knobs were added and tuned, as well as teleport hotspots added for Pilot and Copilot positions. Manipulators that have been tweaked to work in VR are: -Cyclic stick -Collective -Nav knobs -Com knobs -Heading knob -OBS knob -Horizon knob -Brightness knobs -GPS knobs -Custom Teleport Hotspots Added What's New in V101: Fixed some strange-looking texture issues on the pilot's and copilot's collective Added new click spots on the Hoist Hat Switch on the collective for hoist operations Added click spots for "tie down items". Outside the aircraft, on the tips of the pitot tubes, you can click the pilot's side tube to REMOVE before flight, copilot's side tube puts the covers and tie downs on. Added external click spot for GPU. You can toggle the GPU to be connected or disconnected by clicking under the pilot's side pitot tube, near where the electrical cord hooks to the aircraft. Several gauges are now functioning that were previously bugged in V100 (needles were missing) Door Opening/Closing manipulators tuned for functionality You'll notice in the zip file a smartcopilot.cfg file. This is my first attempt at a functioning smartcopilot config for the 412. It is (as of now) untested so I'll need some community beta testing support.
  23. Manipulators that have been tweaked to work in VR are: -All Autopilot buttons working -Throttle -Prop levers -Haptic feedback detents everywhere you'd expect them -Radar Altitude knob -Trim wheels and knobs -Arm Rests -Visors -Lighting and Temperature knobs -CRS 1 OBS dial -HDG dial -CRS 2 OBS dial -Pitch Trim wheel manipulators added -Altimeter baro pressure knobs -Altitude Selector knob -Parking Brake orientation corrected and tuned -Overhead rudder knob -Instrument brightness knobs -VR Yoke added and tuned -Flaps
  24. Manipulators that have been tweaked to work in VR are: -ADF frequency handle tuned for VR controller rotation -Autopilot pitch control tuned with a haptic detent at "level" -Prop levers -Haptic feedback detents everywhere you’d expect them -OBS knobs -Trim wheels and knobs -Cowl Flap Handles -Transponder knobs -GPS knobs -Autopilot heading knob -Mode knobs -Fuel Selector Knobs -Reflections dialled back a bit for VR intensity -Ailerons, elevator, rudder are grab-able, move-able *(see "what's new" below) -Hotspots in every seat -VR Yoke added and tuned What's new in V101: Mod is now compatible with the 1.0.8 Digital Replica 310L update.
  25. Also fine-tuned the teleport hotspots. Manipulators that have been tweaked to work in VR are: VR Yoke tweaked to work on "realistic yoke" setting Fuel Selector Switch slowed Ignition Switch slowed (realistic mag checks without twitchy-ness) Mixture axis tuned to follow your hand without acceleration Throttle axis tuned to follow your hand without acceleration Prop axis tuned to follow your hand without acceleration Trim Wheels have natural speed Cowl Flap handle follows hand perfectly Flap handle tuned and haptic detents added so you can feel marked degree positions All knobs tuned for correct speed Many other levers, knobs, and switches tuned
