  1. Sure you can however the texture is not like a paint kit. You might create a completely new one or cut out the original if you have the required texturing skills.

If someone could provide a Jetway object with an easy UV Map we would love to put that into our library but due to limited resources we need support of the community here.

  2. Generally possible for sure. However it would be permanent per aircraft and not to choose for the user because that would require intensive recoding to the system.

But let's think about another case that happens quite often in real life:

Only one Jetway connects to a heavy aircraft although there are multiple Jetways available (cost reduction, construction work,...).

That would still be not possible.

EDIT: Of course you can connect the same Jetway at different parking spots as long as you are in the limits. However only to the corresponding door Identifier.

  4. It is because it doesn't know a 'gate' with different Jetways but only checks if there is a Jetway with a corresponding door identifier in the vicinity. There is no 'exchange' or communications between Jetways. This kind of intelligence with all its facets would have to be coded. Furthermore it would make it more complex to developers to set up a Jetway an probably nobody wants that 😉

  5. The rotation is measured relative to the initial object position so the maximum values would be - /+180 degrees. If you pass that it will indeed hit itself. Never tried out to use higher values so not sure what the calculation does in that case.

You may send me that scenery as well to figure out what's happening here.

  6. Aerosoft - LIMJ Genoa is compatible and has just been released.

AFLOSIM - LRCL Cluj-Napoca is compatible since last update to 1.01

Aerosoft - LSZH Zurich will be updated next week.

Aerosoft - KDAB Daytona will be updated next week.

Aerosoft - EDDT Berlin-Tegel will be updated next week.

And more to follow of course 😉

  7. We are currently bound to the internal x-plane startup logic which creates the ini file after initializing the plugin. We could adapt the code so that it won't crash the sim but then SAM would be completely deactivated which is not helpful in your case.

We'll see if there is another workaround but it's nothing to be fixed easily.

  8. I don't know what kind of 'scenery management' you do but it should not on rely on deleting the scener_packs.ini.

Neither for this Plugin nor for any other reason.

If you need a fresh scenery order you can delete it, start XPlane and close it again. The file will then be generated and SAM can safely be used on the second startup.

  9. Ok for some reason you don't have a scenery_packs.ini when starting the sim. That's what crashing it. You should not delete the scenery_packs.ini as the plugin has to check the sceneries for any compatibility.

If you want to reorder your sceneries you can use xOrganizer which is great.

  10. 7 minutes ago, Evan Purcell said:

I misunderstood what it was for - I thought it was to allow the user to tweak the position of then jetway, since some of the default ones are a little bit off.

Yeah that was my initial thought as well 😄 Normally jetways should only be tweaked if you created a custom jetway as described in the live stream.

If you post your Jetway - Aircraft testcase where it is not fitting well we will try to fix it.

  11. Can you please also post your sam.log from the SAM plugin folder. And is it crashing in 11.26 as well? And as it looks like you used VR while testing could you just make sure that it's not a VR related thing and test it in normal mode?

You may try to run XP11 as administrator as well.

I just tried SimplfeFMC 1.43rc3 and it works fine for me so we need the other log to find out.

  12. Ah that's the problem. NEVER EVER change a door location. This option is actually only for us to configure the aircrafts. We might hide this option for you so you don't change anything accidentally.

Redownload the plugin to get the original aircraft database and try it again.

  13. Thanks for the kind words.

Your guess is correct as far as the custom datarefs are concerned.  I didn't check the 757/767 on that but will do today. The A350 and B757/B767 work for me. Keep in mind that the door location is a bit higher on heavy aircraft so make sure you are in the limits. You can manually change them in the Installation tab after applying the template. We are already in touch with Flightfactor but without any solution yet.

We'll keep the supported aircraft list up to date:

Although the automatic connection might not work the manual one will do. Go to the user menu where you can connect the jetway manually if the automatic option is disabled.

  14. The Library does not require any hierarchy. It just have to be placed in the custom scenery folder.

I can confirm that bug and created a quick fix. Replace the sam.xml file in the airport folder with the one attached. We will correct it with the next update.

Please note: Due to the fact that the jetways have a pretty big rain cover it sometimes looks like it moves into the fuselage of certain aircrafts. We don't have the ability to control the rain cover yet so we have to live with it for now.

One word about the FF A320: The automatic connection is not working as it's overwrite the beacon dataref. It is the only aircraft which does that but you have to connect it manually through the user menu.

    Sorry for the inconvenience.
