  1. It will be lighter than 1.09. By how much remains to be seen. We haven't gotten to the beta builds yet and the alpha builds are not representative in any way on visuals or performance. We have had bugs that chop 50 frames off your default xplane and we have had performance increases in other builds. So I am just as excited to see the end result on performance as you We have one goal in 1.10 and that is better than 1.09. I think that is definitely reachable.
  2. Every update in the 1.xx run is free. The update to 2.0 will be a paid update.
  3. We have no idea how long the beta run will be. Before Christmas is very unlikely. Q1 2019 is more likely.
  4. XEnviro isn't using the particle system. It is noise rendered volumetrics. Vulcan won't be a revolution for XEnviro but it will help on general performance. Same goes for DLSS but we won't be doing work on that this time around. We are not waiting ting for 11.30 either. XEnviro is not dependent on it and will release when finished regardless.
  5. It's possible. But this is noise rendered volumetrics. A whole other ballgame. Your computer can't handle it.
  6. Well too bad. Your computer will not be able to do it this time around.
  7. A lot more cloud types than towering cb's btw ( t86 ) And yeah, those misplaced palm trees look cold.. Someone better dress them up. ---> PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT <--- (regarding xEnviro seasons) It will be a free update in one of the upcoming updates of xEnviro. There is a reason why it's free. While it looks great and behaves as it should it has one issue that will make or break your usage of it. There will be an option to turn seasons off in the menus if you prefer other season addons. What is the deal you ask? Snow covers everything. Ground and objects. That also means static aircraft. This will be mended down the road but that update is far in the future close to xE 2.0. So there you have it - now you know.
  8. This is what xEnviro recreates. Or at least tries to to a large extent. Dependent on the weather and location data xEnviro presents the sky there after. Every evening or morning (which the screenshots show) will be different.
  9. XEnviro is capable of mimicking any effect you observe in reality and to any level of fidelity you want. Your computer is not. There will be grain artifacts up close in the volumetric clouds. That is a trade off. Many features are plainly not manageable by your system. This is real time volumetric noise rendering from close proximity to horizon. It's like trying to fit a nuclear power plant in to a shoe box. The seasons addon won't be perfect either. Hence the free upgrade to seasons. But we believe that the jump to volumetrics is worth every compromise we have to make at this stage.
  10. Believe me - when we have something new we will show it. So if it has not been shown yet it's basically not ready yet.
