Joe_K
This is a script I wrote to take care of an issue that "VR controller yoke pilots" have in X-plane --> When we unlatch from the yoke, it stays in place, eliminating the need to use aircraft trim systems. This script is as lightweight as you can get, written in X-Plane's default xlua ecosystem for zero performance hit. No need for any external plugins, just follow the installation instructions. After you install SimVRlabs YokeCenter script it works like this: After releasing the yoke with the VR controller, just push and hold your assigned button until the yoke smoothly returns to center. Oculus secondary "squeeze" trigger works great for this if flying with rift controllers! The return is a slooow and smooth return, so the idea is to return your yoke to center as best you can by hand, then unlatch from the yoke, then press and hold your "return to center" button and it will smoothly correct the yoke to true center...from there you can trim realistically. Think of this script as a software version of the spring in your joystick/yoke. Enjoy! Download from the downloads section of the Club. Don't forget to join or you'll get a download error! piperninermikebravo
Works very well with the Airfoil labs Cessna. Can this be modified to work with flight sticks? Specifically the Aerobask Robin DR401 (freeware). I feel like that plane would be perfect if the trim could be put to use..
piperninermikebravo
I discovered some problems with this mod. On the default King Air C90 when using this mod some of the switches underneath the Yoke stop working. Important ones too like the starter so you cannot start the plane! Any way to fix this?
