dresoccer4
hello there! I just got the SAM because it came with the fantastic Seychelles addon, but have a couple questions. 1) i installed the the static jet addon, however I notice many of the jets are simply pure white? for example I'm taking off from the Providenciales International Airport (MBPV) and all off the jets are white AND also the exact same kind. It looks very strange. Is this normal behavior or is something wrong? 2) Everytime i start XP i notice two new scenery pack lines appear in scenery_packs.ini a) X-Plane 11\Resources\plugins\SAM\lib\SAM_Library/ b) X-Plane 11\Resources\plugins\SAM\lib\SAM_StaticAircrafts/ And no matter where i move them inside the file they always appear either at the top or 1 or 2 lines from the top. What is happening here? Are they in the correct location? 3) If i install the jetway addons does it just work or is there other requirements? Thanks! Marten@Stairport
1) the reason is that the predefined airline for that parking position is not (yet) covered by the library so we show a blank livery instead of randomising it to other airlines. 2) thats our automatic library addition logic. If you would like to take control over the library packages yourself you can disable this option in the aos settings menu. Please keep in mind that in this case it is your responsibility to add the folders correctly and we can’t give you any support. 3) which addon are you referring to? As of now it seems to just stick the packages at the top of the sceney_packs file, so if that's the correct locations, I'll leave them be for now. 3) I'm looking at the GUI that pops up for SAM Suite, it says theres a "World Jetways" option. Wasn't sure if that was as simple as clicking "download" and it works. 4) Also in the GUI I see it says there's a new version 2.0.6. Do you recommend I upgrade now? Thanks for your help mate
Marten@Stairport
1) You could modify the library.txt. The fallback section contains the blank liveries. You may put in another object there to your liking. 2) Fine 3) You can read through the product details in SAM Suite to find out what each extension is about. WorldJetways is a payware extension featuring animated jetways for default X-Plane and MisterX airports. 4) Better wait for 2.0.
