The LevelUp Boeing 737NG is dead.

Sounds, systems, operations, model, and a much longer list, can consider this project, this shimmer of light of long anticipated improvement, and flying experience for X-Plane, no longer exciting. Worth waiting for. I never would have thought of saying this. But the project is DEAD. I know I might get some hate for this, but it has been a year and a half at the time of this posting. I understand that the developers have other things to do in their personal life, especially since this is a freeware project. This isn't unacceptable, but disappointing. I was really looking forward to an update, maybe an HGS, or maybe a MAX variant of the 737 which I really looked forward too.

Now with the advancements of PMDG, MSFS, and the announced 2024 version of the simulator. I might as well just move over. I'll get hate, and a lot of disagreement with the posting of this. I understand. But, it's just sad. I would pay if advancements for this aircraft were released. It was nice flying the LevelUp 737 while it was new. But, the plane is just not right in the current state that it is in.

In my community we refer to it as abandoned and have also moved on. The Zibo has been retro fitted to match 12 and is updated on a regular basis. We don't care about the levelup at all any more and we very strongly recommend others do also. It's time to move forward and stop beating a dead horse. The levelup has died. Let it rest in peace as it should.

There is nothing to add. I already returned to ZIBO a long time ago and banned the LevelUp from Xplane. Especially the -700 was not flyable for me. It's a pity that the 737-700U and 737-900U are no longer developed and available. I still use both models together with the ZIBO, because they were perfected in my eyes.

On the subject of payware. No, I would not pay anything for it. Not as long as a better version (ZIBO) is available for free. Also, I've turned my back on any designer who offered a product for free for a while and then suddenly wanted money for it. Unfortunately there are many examples.

Amazing that not a single dev team member ever responded here!?
Anyway the aircraft for are almost ready for re-release, not dead and not abandoned but in fact greatly improved so just hang in there a while longer

This is precisely the problem. No one from the designer team has responded here almost since release. Just take a look at the posts from the last year. It's no wonder that people keep writing here that the project is dead. I myself have reported problems with the -700 over and over again since release (XP11) and never received any response.

Whether a new version will ever appear remains to be seen. I will believe it only when it is there.

Well,
We're monitoring and answering questions on Discord. (  ) We're too few to watch both and answer questions there. I don't get notifications whenever someone posts, "It's dead", and I don't have time. Once released, everyone will know and have the choice if they want to try it. In the meantime, enjoy whatever you want to fly. There is no business in the LevelUp, so we're not dependent on having everyone "believe" what we repeat in Discord. Saying that the LevelUp is dead is just uninformed but doesn't affect the actual status of the Aircraft. I would have loved for the update to have been released long ago, but it's a freeware, voluntary project.

Bottomline is that the project is close to a release, but that doesn't translate into a timeline. Devs who do this in their free time have had summer holidays and are back at IRL work. Devtime is still as sparse as always, but we have a push here and there. Another factor is waiting for a stable atmospheric version of the X-Plane so the flight model doesn't have to be changed again to fit X-Plane 12's constantly moving target. The next one might be it. Not my call. I'm not a project lead.
