About This File

I Present to you all the CFM56 5B/5A Engine Mod Replacement for the FlightFactor A320, Toliss A319 & A321

 CFMEngineThumbnail.png.84febc75eb259942af202d9a34b1c768.png

------------------------------------

Fully Animated Interior/Exterior Reverse's, Engine Flex Animations with Custom Particles and reverse thrust particle effects.

Created using the new DDS format for 11.50 - only 1 version of Texture Size - 4K

Installation of this mod is not for the faint of hearted, if you don't have much experience with mods, please be warned.

Read Manual for more information.

Paint Kit is available as a separate download, this is only a PS Users version, if there is a requirement for others, I will see what I can do.

I will advise this engine is an approximate modelling/texturing of the CFM Engines, I in no way advise this is a like for like model of the CFM56 5A/5B engines.

Enjoy and leave a comment.

Quick Comment - If you are trying to do liveries make sure that you are placing the new engine texture in to the correct folder with in your livery, the directory of the livery has to match the directory of the default objects folder, if the IAE basic texture is in the ‘objects/V2500’ Engines folder in the default directory for the FF320 or Toliss A319/321, you need to make sure it’s in their same folder name with in the livery/objects/ directory, otherwise it will not override.

When  I add the P&W/LEAP engines, my P&W/LEAP and CFM/IAE engines load together and the cfm appears inside the p&w/leap

Similar problem to one of the users mentioned here

I have done everything correctly, followed all instructions but still it's the same

You haven't, go recheck the manual, make sure you properly check the kill data ref entries make sure they match and there is no spaces in them before or after. Also make sure to used the correct engine objects for the 321/319, they need to be out of the specific pack, you can't use the 319 on the 321. and visa versa

im using a319 and i downloaded the a319 engines , the cfm and iae are working.

can u tell me if there is any way to use both the ceo and neo options together? because that's what i was trying to do. and yea, i did follow the manual and got cfm56 and iae v2500 working correctly, just when adding the leap and p&w , i face problems

you can not using the NEO and CEO on the same install for the 319, they do not have NEO options provided by Toliss to override.

is the spinner in the 5B engine version with a black tip and the 5a is light gray? is that how you can tell them apart?

Hello @cardajowol,

I think I'm the third person now who writes that there are no layers at the paintkit of the CFM56-5B if we use GIMP.

Is there a new upload planned for the near future?

Thank you

I have no reason for why it does that I have tried to resave it same thing happens, only gimp that has a problem works fine in Photoshop.

Hi, Carda, just installed these new engines onto the new A321 updated for XP12 and I have found that only when the CFM engines are applied, the fuel drops rapidly and even goes into negative figures, this is clearly a conflict with Toliss in some way but would you have any idea what re-writing of the objects would do to affect this? Thanks a lot. Beautiful engines.

Visual changes/object additions have no impact to FM or Systems. The only impact that has to systems is editing the ACF which is done yourself. If do not incorrectly can affect systems. Currently this mod has not been tested with XP12.

The quality of all your engines speak for themselves... 'shear perfection' and I have all variants for the Toliss A319 and A321.

I have just installed XP12 and the latest Toliss A319/A321 updates.

I'm sure @cardajowol  is very busy right now... just wondering if anyone else has tested these mods using XP12 and the latest aircraft updates?

Seems like a major change to the blades.obj and engines.obj in version 1.4.1, which is causing problems for the IAE and CFM - the "ANIM_hide 0.000000 0.000000 anim/IAE" no longer exists, so needs extra tweaking, which I am looking at right now...

it's a large chunk of "code" that needs to be removed - easily enough

get rid of all the code between ANIM_begin/end.......

ANIM_begin
         ANIM_hide        0        0     anim/CFM
         TRIS                   17040 894
\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ LODASA OF MORE "CODE" \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\
ANIM_end

end result will look like this......

ANIM_begin
        ANIM_hide 0.000000 0.000000 none
ANIM_end

Do you know if the excellent FTSiM+ fmod sounds are compatible with X-plane 12 and latest versions of Toliss aircraft?

I have contacted FTSiM+ and will update this post when I get a reply

"Currently the A321 Full Sound version is XPL12 ready (Need More Fixes), then soon the A319 (in Progress..) & the A340. The Free Sets will be updated also after fixing the Configurations."

Did you deleted the N1.obj file? beacause I did that and now when the engine is on the blades are unrealistically black.

I tried to fiddle a bit with in in plane maker, it seems that ToLiss changed a bit the geometry of the engines with the latest versions and the N1 is now overflowing. Removing it is not a valid solution since this is used to show the blades in high revs. Moving it a bit  forward or up/down doesn't help either because this object is attached to the engine signs/stickers on the sides and messes up with the alignment.

This requires Carda to modify the object to fit the CFMs in the XP12 versions.

Anybody knows which max FF version these engines work with? Can anybody share files of that version (of course without license file)? I've got 1.2.9 and 1.3.5 and they don't work with it.

Hello everyone

I'd like to say thanks to Carda for the mod, as the engines are really well made.

This said, I've encountered a problem. When using the mod and loading the aeroplane in XP11, having followed the manual's instruction, the innermost flap fairing of the right wing disappears, revealing the flaps mechanism.

This only happens on one of the two wings and I haven't been successful in fixing it.

Any help is appreciated. Many thanks again for the brilliant mod.

Edit: If this happens to someone else, upon retrying the installation without deleting the first (185369-185389) of the two parts in the file "wing320t" mentioned in the manual, the fairing is back. I thoroughly passed through the wing area for any visual bug or discrepancy related to the change, but there doesn't seem to be any.

A320 - 2023-01-04 15.30.28.png

Is that only happening in the A319 only or is it all of them A319, A320, & A321?

These engines appear to have been broken by an update, and need to be updated.
